We are incredibly sad to say that our beautiful and very much adored husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and step-grandfather has passed away peacefully in hospital on 21st May, 2019.
We are all naturally heartbroken, and we respectfully invite family and friends to join us in a celebration of Rob’s 83 years of life at the Great Northern Garden of Remembrance, Deception Bay. The funeral will commence at 1pm on Tuesday, 28th May 2019.
Words cannot express how we are feeling at this time. We are also very much aware that time and distance will prevent many people touched by this wonderful man being able to attend the service. We invite you to be a part of the celebration by placing a message here if you would like to do so.
Forever in our hearts, Rob has left a legacy that can never be forgotten. We are indeed privileged to have shared the laughs and tears that makes us the family we are with the man who made it all happen.
RIP Robert Raymond McKean – 18/1/1936 – 21/5/2019

May 28, 2019 at 12:16 amThoughts are with you all at this sad time. We all have many great memories, of the good years together as family, the (occasional!) beers and wines on the verandah at Korora, and I will never forget the calf-muscle “Who shot me!!??” incident or ‘words’ being spoken whilst a young man was about to ask a really big question of a father!! You will support each other as always – all we can do is look back fondly in these sad times and recall the humour, fun, support that was Rob and marvel at his legacy. Love to you all xxx
