We invite you to join us to “The Final Show” of Chris – Partner of Rob, Son of Bev & Owen, Brother of Charmaine & Bruce, Uncle of Jess & Connor and incredibly cherished friend to many.

When: Friday, the 24th of April 2026 – commencing at 12:30pm

Where: Hemmant Cemetery and Crematorium, Tingalpa (See Map Below).

It is the family’s wish that all those who are attending should wear their brightest colours – avoid wearing black if possible!

We celebrate the life of Chris, we are filled with gratitude for the moments shared, the friendship offered, and in awe of your courage.
As a hairdresser, you made me feel a little more beautiful, one cut and color at a time, especially on my wedding day, but it was your friendship with my brother Andrew and his partner Craig that truly made a lasting impression on me.

Dear Rob, Stewart family and close friends, Ben and I are so saddened to hear that Chris has gone. We remember his humour, laughs and general zest for life with such fond memories. We know he was a Brisbane boy through and through but we were so lucky to have spent precious and prime time with him in his Melbourne years. Chris was a force of nature—vibrant, flamboyant, and impossible to ignore in the very best way. His laughter filled rooms, lifted spirits, and made even ordinary moments feel alive. That kind of presence doesn’t fade easily; it lingers in every memory, every story, every echo of joy he left behind.

I’m so very sorry to hear about the untimely passing of Chris and the massive hole I’m sure he has left in your hearts. I have such fond memories dancing our way through many a night in the valley. Crazy fun times!!

Rob, Charmaine, Bruce and the rest of the family. May you take some comfort that he is at peace 🕊️ Take care of yourselves and each other at this difficult time xo

Sincere Condolences to Rob and all of Chris’s family. I have very fond memories of Chris over many years his smile, his laugh and his love for life. He was such a caring soul and I will never forget the joy he brought to my life. Sending love to all ❤️ I am so sorry I can’t be there to celebrate his life.

I was very saddened to hear of Chris’s passing this last week. Chris has a such special place in my heart. When I was a young woman in my twenties, I was contemplating living overseas and I was slightly terrified. To make matters worse, I was following love O.S. (what was I thinking?) It was Chris’s encouragement and support that spurred me into taking this unknown step…I can hear him saying clear as day..”just go!! Its gonna be amazing! Nothing’s gonna change here.. It will be the same when you get back..you’ll never know otherwise…” Four years later I returned. Wiser, grown-up and somewhat more worldly. Chris, Rob, Andy and Craig, were the first people I contacted when I returned and I have the most cherished photo of us togther which has been framed and on my desk for close to 33 years. Chris was a gorgeous human and touched so many people with his vivacious energy. Much love to to you Rob and to all of his cherished family and friends RIP.

I’m so saddened to hear the news of fabulous Chris passing . My deepest condolences to Rob and Chris’s family.
Chris was so kind and generous to me . He really was a fabulous person and artist. Chris opened my eyes with his creativeness . I will forever be thankful and cherish the special memories.

I fondly recall a party hosted by Owen & Bev and discussing with Chris & Rob, my passion for Bob Dylan and their keeness to explore his works.
